TEHRAN - Deputy Industries Minister Mohammad Reza Notash leading a delegation of senior state officials from the industries, agriculture and economy sectors visited a number of industrial parks located in Yazd Province.

Yazd Industrial Park built near Yazd, the capital city of Yazd Province was the first industrial facility the team visited. Construction works of the park started back in 1986. It has been planned to be carried out in three different phases. Two phases of the work have already come on stream and the last phase is to become operational soon.

Also located near the capital city of this central Iranian province is the Yazd Special Economic and Textile Zone. The complex is expected to come on stream by the yearend (Iranian year ends March 20). Three textile production plants are currently working in the zone.

Given the zone’s tariff-free access to the world markets, all of the products manufactured or produced in the special economic zone are planned to be exported.

Saduq Industrial Park was another production complex visited by the state officials, about 1,000 industrial units are to be accommodated in the zone.

During their inspection of the economic-industrial zones of the province, the deputy industry minister and the delegates also paid a visit to one of the world’s most modern steel-alloy producing plants, Iran’s Steel Alloy Co., the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported here on Wednesday.

The plant became operational in 2,000 and is currently producing world-class and high quality special steel alloys.

Products of the plant are vastly used in the aerospace, oil and petrochemical industries, power plants, tool manufacturing units, medical and surgical equipments, machinery-manufacturing plants as well as in the automotive industries.
